Purpose:
The Project has two outcomes. The existing atmospheric gas boiler used for hydronic radiator heating throughout the guest house will be replaced with a new parallel low temperature condensing boiler. The radiator system has 39 radiators and is inefficient in gas use and very expensive. The new boiler is estimated to reduce gas consumption by at least 27%. The Project will also reduce electricity consumption by 35–50% for guest room air conditioners by providing 'smart' remote controls that provide fixed temperature use, and room sensors to turn the air conditioners off when the guests leave their rooms. The Project will reduce the amount and costs of natural gas and electricity that are needed for our guests.
