Purpose:
Celebrating and amplifying the close cultural ties between Australia and Singapore, in 2021 the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will deliver three projects which promote connections and practical cooperation, build understanding and exchange, and showcase Australian and Singaporean artistic excellence.
Portraits of our People, Two Worlds Unite and the Cultural Diplomacy Roundtable will build on Australia’s cultural reputation by fostering international relations and enhance cultural understanding. Working in partnership with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, these projects will showcase the artistic vibrancy of both nations, the role the arts play in cultural diplomacy, and the expertise of Australian and Singaporean musicians.
