Grant Activity:
3D Technologies. Creating a makerspace utilising 3D technologies
Purpose:
Since the recent opening of our refurbished school site we have seen the creation of re–imagined learning spaces. Our stage three classes will begin working in a middle–school model from 2019, with teachers allocated to specific subjects. To complement our new middle–school model, as well as coinciding with the implementation of the new Science and Technology syllabus, we will establish a makerspace utilising 3D technologies, including 3D design software and 3D printers, to maximise the potential for students to foster creativity and develop and apply STEM based skills. Students will have hands–on experiences working with emerging and advancing technologies. They will be provided with authentic opportunities to design solutions to real–world.
