Grant Program:
Inspiring all Australians in STEM
Grant Activity:
Virtual and Augmented Welding Technology for Year 10
Purpose:
Unity College is located in Murray Bridge, nestled in the Murraylands. It is considered a food bowl and manufacturing hub. Many of our students travel some distance to get to school, and while a significant number are keen to expand their horizons, many possess a keen desire to remain to live and work in the Murraylands. This project is designed to expose students to facilities and technology the College does not possess. By broadening their horizon and encouraging them to explore what was previously beyond their view will assist them in their future careers and 'raise the bar', which in turn will benefit the rural communities in which they have chosen to live.
