Korea-Australia Tax Symposium
Partnering with KIPF, TTPI would establish a preeminent exchange between Australia and Korea on tax research. The collaboration would; Host an annual Australia-Korea Tax Symposium in 2022 and 2023, focused on tax research and policy analysis matters of mutual interest to both countries; Establish a strong network of tax researchers (and research partnerships) between Korea and Australia by inviting high-performing researchers in both countries to present at the symposia, and to collaborate on priority and cutting-edge tax research; Make the symposia's discussions available to the general public through the TTPI and KIPF websites, and disseminate insights in an accessible way to Australian audiences through e.g. TTPI blog, Lowy Institute's The Interpreter, the Korean Embassy and; Raise the profile of the exchange through social media. Relevant Australian agencies, including DFAT, Treasury, PM&C and the ATO, will be invited to the symposia and receive regular updates on progress.
