Purpose:
The purpose of the Grant is to provide an opportunity for eighteen (18) students and two (2) teaching staff from Urangan State High School, Hervey Bay, QLD, to participate in an industry site tour for increasing knowledge and informing of the daily operations and working environments of various occupations in the construction industry sector. The grant will directly support students and address skills shortages in the region by displaying how VET pathways demonstrate linkages between classroom-based learning and the working environment for future school and post-school studies.
