Purpose:
The project involves the design, purchase and installation of a new solar photovoltaic generator system (PV system) at the Perth Dinghy Sailing Club. The installation of a new PV system will offset electricity consumption by key clubhouse equipment including: kitchen ovens and refrigerators, bar refrigerators and cool room. By offsetting power consumption at the club, the PV system will reduce costs to the club and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We propose the installation of a 10 kW system, which will approximately balance our peak demand and take advantage of our large north–facing roof. Site inspections by the PV installers have confirmed the suitability of the site and proposed system.
