The scope and major activities of the “Maroochydore-Shimoda Exchange Program History, 25th Anniversary, and Future Roadmap” project includes final publication in Japanese and Australian of the 24 year history of the Maroochydore-Shimoda Exchange Program, launching and presenting this history publication in both Australia and Japan, celebrating our 25th anniversary of the program in 2023, and launching the roadmap of the program for the next decade. These activities would gather key people from Australia and Japan from its earliest inception to the present, and also it’s custodians into the future.  Activities and functions would be held locally in Australia, and at Shimoda and Tokyo in Japan. The timing of these activities in Australia is preferably around December 2023, and in Japan around August and/or October 2023.  Timing of activities can be changed if needed to navigate Covid-19 restrictions and impacts. Australia-Japan Foundation have supported this wonderful program throughout its successful operation and history, and we would be very pleased to have AJF representation with us in some of these activities if possible.
