Purpose:
Over the last three years WDNA has made a concerted effort to reduce both power and water consumption to lighten our impact on the environment. We have installed a solar array, converted our court lights from inefficient halogen bulbs to LED, and installed dual flush toilets and timers on taps. We were recognised with a Star partnership Award from the Queensland Chamber of Commerce and Industry's EcoBiz program for reducing power consumption by more than 20% in 2020.
However, many of the fittings in our Administration building are still old and inefficient versions that use more energy than modern alternatives. A successful application will allow us to replace old fluorescent batten light fittings and sensor flood light fittings with more efficient LED lights.
