Purpose:
The aim of this project is to collect the evidence required for TP-IAT to become a reimbursed medical procedure for the treatment of hereditary pancretitis (HP). In order to achieve this 24 HP patients will undergo TP-IAT and the impact on disease progression, quality of life, reduction in pain medication, hospitalisations, health costs and economic impacts will be determined. This will allow a formal application to the goverment for assesment of TP-IAT to become a reimbursed medical procedure.
