Grant Activity:
Indigenous engagement and leadership in the evaluation of Indigenous health and wellbeing programs: Taking steps to improve government and non-government commissioning practices
Purpose:
Despite significant financial investment in Indigenous-specific programs there is little evidence on what programs are effective in overcoming Indigenous disadvantage. Needed are more and better evaluations supported by funders working with Indigenous stakeholders as partners. This project will identify how commissioning practices can support the principle of Indigenous community engagement to ensure that programs align with Indigenous needs and priorities and improve future health outcomes.
