The project will strengthen the Australia-Indonesia relationship by leveraging our mutual interest in football (soccer). It will create future economic ties and promote gender equality through the development of relationships and online resources targeting female football, coaching, refereeing and governance. To promote Australia’s football development expertise to Indonesian clubs, peak bodies and community groups, Football West will run a female football mentoring project using our high performance women's programs. We will work with our existing Indonesian partners, such as Persebaya Surabaya FC to distribute this content. Female-focussed football training will feature members of WA’s elite female and inclusive development squads as positive role models. Courses will be Football Federation Australia-accredited where applicable and cover coaching, refereeing and club development. ' Future relationships will be ensured through development of a at least one Memorandum of Understanding and online infrastructure to support the training materials and maintain future relationships.
