Purpose:
Aussie Ark works in the field of species and habitat recovery, working towards protecting and restoring entire ecosystems back to what they were – pre –European settlement. Through the Bushfire Recovery for Wildlife and Habitat Community Grants Program, Aussie Ark intends to eradicate and reduce the impact of feral pest species include foxes and cats, as well as reducing the impact of diseases. Additionally, Aussie Ark will also conduct ecological surveys and control invasive weed species through physical and chemical treatments. These activities rejuvenate the landscape and prepare it for the rewilding of missing species – which Aussie Ark will return.
