Investigator Grants
Grant Activity:
Reducing the burden of DNA viruses on human health
Purpose:
I aim to improve health by understanding how viruses interact with our bodies. This includes processes inside cells that keep microbes like the cold sore virus dormant. Also the way in which the white blood cells that allow our immune system to remember and respond more quickly to an infection after vaccination choose the parts of a virus to target. Finally we will find ways to help people on some treatments for diseases like multiple sclerosis avoid a common virus that is dangerous for them.
