An Incubator for Global Start-ups in Australia and Korea
The project aims to educate future entrepreneurs to identify potential business opportunities in Australia and Korea by supporting the collaboration of creative individuals in the two countries. The project includes seminars and team-based collaborative workshops that are designed to enhance the understanding of each country’s cultural and business environment and the entrepreneurial process through which an idea transforms to a business. Participants will be a group of selected students from The University of Newcastle and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), and they will be asked to develop a new business which will target either or both Australian and Korean market. This project will provide the participants with a unique opportunity to collaborate in a global team. A pitch competition will be held as a culminating event of the project. In the competition, participants will present their business model to a panel of external judges. The University of Newcastle and UNIST have the capability to provide outstanding quality education and training for fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and practical tools that participants will need to successfully manage the process of developing a global venture.
