Purpose:
The Expanding Horizons project will engage 80 girls (aged 13–14) from low socioeconomic backgrounds to complete an experiential learning program. The program will be composed of STEM related activities and career development interventions. Families will be invited to be involved and this will allow for an increase in their understanding of STEM careers and encourage increased awareness of and support for STEM related career aspirations. The results will be collated into a suite of resources for teachers, career development professionals and families.
