Orbital Pressure Alteration and Interactions with Intracranial and Intraocular Pressure
Purpose:
The orbit comprises soft tissue which insulates the eye and optic nerve as it passes back to the brain. Elevated orbital pressure is common. However, little is known about its pressure nor how it influences pressures within the optic nerve and its relationship to brain fluid pressure. This study will measure the orbital pressure and its relationship to adjacent structures.
