Grant Activity:
Multisensory hallucinations in psychosis: Phenomenology, cognition and perception
Purpose:
Hallucinations occur when a person hears voices or see images that are not present in reality. Joint deficits in the way we perceive the world through our senses (i.e. perception), and how our brains think and learn (i.e. cognition) likely underpin these unusual sensory events. Yet there has been limited research in this area. This study aims to address this existing gap in knowledge, and may help to refine assessment and treatment procedures.
