Grant Activity:
The role of non-coding RNAs in prostate cancer
Purpose:
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignancy and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men. Currently, the mechanisms, which contribute to the occurrence and progression of prostate cancer, are poorly understood. We have created models of prostate cancer to understand how specific gene mutations can lead to the pathogenesis of this disease. We will use these models to validate the use of this gene as a biomarker and treatment target for prostate cancer.
