Role of MACROD2 Deficiency in DNA Repair, Mitotic Fidelity and Development of Intestinal-type Gastric Adenocarcinoma
Purpose:

The MACROD2 gene is frequently inactivated in human stomach cancer. We will demonstrate that MACROD2 loss promotes stomach cancer development and identify the underlying molecular mechanisms. We will evaluate the use of MACROD2 status as a clinical predictor for treatment response and outcome of stomach cancer.
