Grant Activity:
The use of biomarkers in children to predict healing potential and optimise burn wound care
Purpose:
In order to improve the treatment of children’s burn injuries, we need to better diagnose burn wound severity and predict which patients are at risk of developing poor long-term outcomes. By examining the proteins and immune cells in burn patient samples, we can identify markers that are related to poor healing outcomes. This will help us to develop better clinical prognostic tools for burn wound assessment and better patient outcomes.
