Purpose:
A grant has been awarded to support religious schools and pre-schools, places of worship and faith-based community centres to address the risk of crime and violence motivated by religious or racial intolerance. The grant is expected to fund the installation of security infrastructure and the engagement of security guards at Macedonian Orthodox Church St Mary in Broadmeadow Newcastle, New South Wales; Macedonian Orthodox Church Saint Petka in Rockdale, Sydney; Macedonian Orthodox Church St. Nikola in North Perth, Western Australia; Macedonian Orthodox Church Sveta Nedela in Gold Coast, Queensland; and St. George & St. Mary Mother of God Macedonian Orthodox Church, in Epping, Victoria.
