Project
Grant Activity:
Developing sensitive endpoints for respiratory disease progression in children and young people with neuromuscular disease
Purpose:
Neuromuscular diseases affect the muscles used to breathe and cause significant breathing problems. Measuring lung function helps monitor disease progression and whether treatments are effective. Many of these lung function tests are difficult for children with neuromuscular disorders to perform. This project will examine which combination of lung function tests are better at monitoring breathing difficulties, and if they can predict worsening disease in children with neuromuscular disease.
