Grant Program:
Project
Grant Activity:
Understanding how mitochondrial quality control pathways cooperate to maintain mitochondrial health
Purpose:

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system in which the underlying cause is, in most cases, unknown. To pave the way to a better understanding of what goes wrong, and how to fix it, this study will investigate the function of cellular repair pathways that break down in PD. The results of this study can be used to explore the potential of new therapeutic targets and small molecules to treat disease.
