Preventing falls in older age with yoga-based exercise: effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and implementation
Purpose:
This trial will determine the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and implementation potential of yoga-based exercise for preventing falls in people aged 65+. This project addresses the urgent public health challenge of population ageing and is aligned with the World Health Organization’s Global Strategy and Action Plan on Ageing and Health 2016-2020. Results have the potential to change policy and practice, improve quality of life and reduce the economic cost of an ageing population.
