Purpose:
Colorectal cancer remains a significant health burden worldwide. The Ramsay Laboratory (Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne) has developed a novel DNA vaccine, TetMYB, that targets the MYB oncogene, which has been shown to be over-expressed in colorectal cancer and adenomatous polyps. Furthermore, the majority of colorectal cancer develop of adenomatous polyps thus targeting these pre-cancerous precursor lesions is a highly effective means of cancer prevention; i.e. the aim of this study.
