Grant Activity:
Clinical and biological approaches to improving diagnostic confidence of Chronic Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis
Purpose:
When people are around birds, molds and dust, they may inhale small particles which can permanently damage their lungs. In some cases this leads to a disease called chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis. It is not clear how much, over how long, and what types of exposure lead to this disease, and what protection might help. This project aims to develop a systematic tool to help doctors diagnose, treat and educate patients using rigorous evidence based methods.
