Purpose:
Lindy Lee is one of Australia’s foremost contemporary artists. The touring exhibition Lindy Lee surveys the artist’s illustrious career from her early photocopy works and wax paintings, her research into her family history and their journey from China to Australia, her deepening engagement with Buddhist philosophy and recent large-scale paintings and sculptures created using fire and water, to her ambitious public artworks. Lindy Lee is a project developed and presented by the MCA. The touring exhibition will be organised and toured by the MCA and comprise of selected works from the MCA presentation 3 July – 20 September 2020.
