Upgrade of Air Conditioners at Avalon Motel (Mount Gambier)
Purpose:
The projects key activity is to replace some of the existing air conditioning units at the Avalon Motel with more efficient, new split–system air conditioners. It has been identified that 17 of the motel’s rooms are currently running non–inverter air conditioning units. The climate in Mount Gambier results in motel guests heavily using air conditioning for heating & cooling. The desired outcome of the project is to reduce energy usage by the motel for its heating & cooling. This reduction in energy usage will assist the motel decrease its costs & reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The owners of Avalon Motel are conscious of the proposed projects cost savings but also understand playing their small part in addressing their energy emissions.
