Grant Activity:
Co-designing with consumers, carers and other stakeholders a self-management plan for breathlessness crises from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Purpose:
Breathlessness ‘crises’ are terrifying events that disempower people with COPD (‘consumers’) and their carers. This project will co-design with consumers, carers and clinicians a written self-management ‘plan’ to help consumers and carers bring breathlessness crises under control. Feasibility testing will refine the plan and develop tools to get it into practice. The Lung Foundation Australia will promote the plan in online, printed and app formats through its networks and educational program.
