Purpose:
The Snapper Classic is an annual event involving anglers based from shore or boat, fishing along the Sapphire Coast. The target for this event is specifically snapper. Prizes are awarded based on a length measurement photographed on a NSW Department of Primary Industries supplied “brag mat”. The funding will be used as prize money to replace sponsorship money which due to bushfires local businesses are unable to sponsor local events in the near future. 150 competitors are expected at the event.
