Purpose:
The Knox School entered three students into the Cyber Security Division of the Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge this year. The students innovation has made it through to the finals which will be held in Brisbane in October. The finals allow the students to present their completed concept based on improving Cyber Security using added technology to EFTPOS machines. They are also required to present their final business plan for implementation and to conduct a final pitch to industry representatives from both Australia and the USA. Should a grant be awarded the students would use it to pay for airfares, accommodation for one night and to recover some of the costs involved in patenting their idea and the entry fee.
