Purpose:
We are applying for funding to support one student who has been successful in the application process to attend. This is a 12 day residential program designed to give students and broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in the field of STEM and to encourage continued studies in these fields. The program is designed for talented students who are passionate about science. Areas explored include: Visit to Science and technology related laboratories and facilities Site tours Lectures Workshops Entrepreneurship and critical thinking sessions Group activities aimed at improving communication skills and presentation skills.
