Natural Resource Management groups, traditional owners, community volunteers, university scientists and government will collaborate to:
1. comprehensively survey threatened fish, frogs and crayfish in coastal wallum wetlands in SE Qld and Nth NSW to document distribution, abundance, and threats
2. develop methods for ongoing monitoring
3. identify and prioritise critical habitat and rehabilitation and recommend actions for recovery
4. establish captive breeding colonies of at-risk fish populations
Project outcomes include:
(1) a collaborative program for addressing knowledge gaps and increasing awareness of aquatic threatened species
(2) provision of robust information and enhanced capacity for threatened aquatic species management
