Purpose:
This Project, led by the Government of South Australia and supported by various industry-leading Project Partners, will provide initial investment into key common-user infrastructure required to activate early-mover hydrogen export projects at Port Bonython. Existing infrastructure will be leveraged to deliver common-use infrastructure at the most efficient cost. This will facilitate and de-risk initial investment related to hydrogen projects at Port Bonython, targeting hydrogen production for export and domestic use. This Project is key in achieving the full potential of the Port Bonython regional Hub, leveraging significant recent work undertaken on South Australia's hydrogen export opportunity. It is currently expected that the initial focus will be on delivering the design and construction of marine export infrastructure, expected to include an upgrade of the existing single berth jetty and the infrastructure traversing the jetty, including the non- process infrastructure, pipes, racks, marine loading arms (MLAs) and temporary works facilitating construction.
