Clinical imaging inspired point-of-care microtechnology for enhanced diagnosis and monitoring of recurrent stroke
Purpose:
In collaboration with NSW Telestroke Service, we introduce a low-cost, portable, standardised, point-of-care microdevice for stroke recurrent risk assessment. It particularly benefits the large and disadvantaged populations, including regional, aged, pregnant, handicapped, and indigenous. We envisage the standardised microchip will expand future applications to tailor intervention requirements, assess bleeding risk after surgery, and long-term monitor antithrombotic treatment and prognosis.
