Purpose:
We established a maker space 2 years ago. We have been using school resourcing to establish the basic equipment and plant needed. Larger purchases such as a large scale printer and laser cutter is not possible in the foreseeable future. The students in our maker space have been exceptionally ingenious in their approaches to their projects in making accommodations to their materials. A laser cutter and a large scale printer will allow us to support our students in their designs and constructions here onsite and extending their capacity to build more robust projects and design concepts.
