Welcome to Science Week
Purpose:
This targeted program welcomes families with young children who are recent arrivals to Australia and those with social disadvantage to visit Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks before and during Science Week. Families participate in special National Science Week activities and visit exhibitions with the aid of a guide. Bus transport will be provided to distant families. The program will build confidence, skills and familiarity with Science Week at these two science facilities encouraging repeat visitation as well as developing useful social and learning skills.
