Purpose:
Construction of a new $2.5M community centre, to provide recreation activities for residential care recipients, day respite and day therapy programs. It will operate as an aged equivalent to a day care centre with opening hours to meet the needs of employed/non-employed carers, and will allow attendance for clients who require smaller blocks of time. The infrastructure will have a community focus and has been developed to meet the needs of Central Queenslanders with additional benefits including: Reduced: stress, mental health issues, loneliness Improved family life, quality of life, connections, self-worth, health, regional liveability Preserves business knowledge/skills Increased employment outcomes/student placement opportunities.
