Targeted Calls for Research
Description:

A Targeted Call for Research (TCR) is a one-time request for grant applications designed to stimulate research in a particular area that will benefit the health of Australians or address a specific health issue.

NHMRC is considering opening a grant opportunity in the second half of 2022 to invite research proposals that specifically focus on dementia in Australians from ethnic, cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

This prospective opportunity will seek to stimulate research that will improve the quality and representativeness of Australian’s evidence based on dementia.

This will inform best practice approaches for research involving people from cultural, ethnic and linguistically diverse backgrounds. It will also inform the development of clinical pathways for the diagnosis, early intervention, treatment, and management of dementia that meet the needs of people from cultural, ethnic and linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as support for their families and carers.
