eSafety Commissioner: Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women
The eSafety Commissioner’s Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program aims to improve the safety of Australian women and their children through the prevention of technology-facilitated gender-based violence. The program forms part of the Government’s commitment to the aims and objectives of the National Plan to end violence against women and children 2022-32.
A total of $10 million in grant funding will be available from 2023 to 2028, with applications for round one anticipated to open in early 2023. Grants of between $80,000 and $500,000 will be awarded through an open, competitive process.
eSafety will be seeking applications for projects focused on the prevention of online harms and enhanced safety for women and children. This may include projects that, for example, aim to change community attitudes and behaviours, focus on people who perpetrate technology-facilitated abuse, or that seek to protect and support women and children.
To be eligible, applicants must be a non-government organisation registered as a not-for-profit charitable organisation with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
Program guidelines are now available (see Grant Opportunity Documents)
Applications for Round 1 will open at 11.00am (AEST) on 18 April 2023 and close at 5.00pm (AEST) on 29 May 2023.
