Increasing Rural Medical Training Grant Opportunity Guidelines
This forecast opportunity (FO) is to advise those universities wishing to apply for the Increasing Rural Medical Training Grant Opportunity (GO). This grant opportunity was announced as part of the 2022 Federal Budget and aims to increase rural university medical school training to encourage greater numbers of Australian medical students to go on to practise in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia.
The GO will provide funding for up to 8 new rural campuses for existing medical schools, including 80 new commencing medical CSPs for the new campuses, capital, establishment and recurrent funding.
