MRFF – Indigenous Health Research Fund – 2020 Indigenous Health Research Grant Opportunity
The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Indigenous Health Research Fund aims to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through: Indigenous-led research practice and governance; knowledge translation; and evidence-based change in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practice.
The intended outcome of research funded under this grant opportunity is to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people by:
•Stream 1 (Incubator): generating new approaches for community based practices that transform care in early life and for chronic diseases and generating knowledge that defines the positive role that culture can play in health and wellbeing and articulates how it can be incorporated into services and programs
•Stream 2 (Targeted Call for Research): enabling Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander led primary health care services and practitioners to undertake research of relevance to their communities and drive implementation of best practice outcomes.
