Description:

The Journalist Fund Cadetship stream will support regional media organisations in hiring a new cadet journalists. Cadets hired under this stream will be provided the needed skills and experience to meaningfully contribute to the production of locally relevant core news content in regional areas.

The objectives of the program are to:

  • Assist regional media organisations in providing local core news content to communities
  •  Foster skills in emerging news sectors within regional areas
  •  Support the sustainability of regional media organisations
