This grant opportunity will expand the Aged Care Nursing Scholarship (ACNS) Program and introduce Allied Health Scholarships with a focus on Dementia Care. The 2021-22 Budget Measure - Growing a Skilled and High Quality Workforce to Care for Senior Australians, announced $26.154 million to invest in a skilled aged care workforce.
This program will provide nursing and allied health scholarships over the next 3 years including 1200 scholarships for personal care workers and nurses and 300 for allied health professionals focusing on Dementia related qualifications. Guaranteed minimums for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people apply to all scholarships.
