Description:

The Journalism Assistance Fund (JAF) is a program which aims to support public interest journalism and media diversity in Australia.

The JAF will deliver $67.6 million in grants to eligible Australian-owned news publishers to support existing journalists who produce core news content that is distributed digitally. The JAF forms part of the News Media Assistance Program (News MAP).

Applications for the JAF are expected to open in mid-November 2025. Grant opportunity guidelines will also be released.
