Health Workforce - Vocational General Practice Training Grant Opportunity
This grant opportunity seeks to provide funding to support the reforms to GP (General Practice) training announced in the Stronger Rural Health Strategy announced in the 2018-19 Budget to provide a greater role to the GP Colleges in the delivery and management of general practice training for all practitioners seeking to become a GP specialist in Australia including:
- transitioning Commonwealth-subsidised GP training programs from the Department to the GP Colleges by 2022;
- administering Commonwealth-subsidised GP training programs; and
- rationalising the current pathways to specialist general practitioner status.
Only the two General Practice Colleges stated below are eligible to apply for this targeted non-competitive grant opportunity:
- Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
- Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
