Description:

The Health Workforce Scholarship Program aims to increase the capacity, skills and scope of practice of health professionals in the fields of medicine, nursing and allied health in order to target services to rural and remote areas where they are most needed.


This grant opportunity will engage an administrator from the eligible entities listed below, that will award scholarships and bursaries based on needs analysis and stakeholder consultation in order to achieve the program aims.
 

 

Eligibility:


Eligible Entities:
 •  All Rural Workforce Agencies (RWAs) (operating as a consortium);
 •  The Australian College of Nursing (ACN);
 •  Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH);and
 •  The National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA).

 

Grant Activity Timeframe:

Funding will run over 3 years and will conclude on 30 June 2020.

Total Amount Available (AUD):

$33,660,000.00
