NHMRC aims to provide assistance to Australian researchers to participate in multinational collaborative research projects that have been recommended for funding under the European Union-JPND Call for Proposals: “Novel imaging and brain stimulation methods and technologies related to Neurodegenerative Diseases”
JPND is aimed at tackling the challenge of neurodegenerative diseases and coordinating investment into research to find causes, develop cures, and identify appropriate ways to care for those with neurodegenerative diseases.
Only research with a key focus on “Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias” will be funded through this grant opportunity. Applying for funding with any other focus under this grant opportunity will not be supported. To be eligible for funding under this grant opportunity, Australian researchers must apply to the JPND as part of a transnational consortium application.

Applications must satisfy all requirements set out in the NHMRC-European Union Joint Programme - Novel imaging and brain stimulation methods and technologies related to Neurodegenerative Diseases 2020 Guidelines.

Applications must be submitted electronically using NHMRC’s online Grants Management System unless otherwise advised by NHMRC.
Please note this round is open only to Australian members of consortia invited by JPND to submit Full proposals.

Australian consortium members must provide all documentation and budget requests as instructed in the Grant Guidelines document. JPND application documentation greater than 10MB in size should be emailed to dementia.research@nhmrc.gov.au.
