Description:
 

The objective of the Human Trafficking and Slavery Prevention Program is to prevent and deter human trafficking and slavery-related crimes (including forced marriage) in Australia.

Invited not-for-profit, non-government organisations will be assessed on their ability to, through community-based activities, achieve the following outcomes:

  • tackle the root causes of human trafficking and slavery-related exploitation
  • raise awareness of human trafficking and slavery-related crimes amongst the general community, and
  • build the resilience of groups who may be vulnerable to human trafficking and slavery-related practices.

 

Eligibility:

As per the guidelines, this is a targeted, competitive round and the following non-government organisations are invited to apply:

  • Anti-Slavery Australia
  • Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans
  • Australian Muslim Women's Centre for Human Rights
  • Project Respect
  • the Salvation Army
  • Scarlet Alliance

July 2017 - June 2018

Total Amount Available (AUD):

$500,000.00
